ALA Nonfiction:: The American Library Association list of non-fiction books.

Alexandria Digital Literature:: If you spend a few minutes telling Alexandria Library what books you like, it'll suggest other books for you to read. Or, you can download stories from the site to read on your computer! You'll need to get a library card (for which you need an email address), but it's free. The "librarians" are very friendly! Books tend to focus on science fiction, fantasy, and classics.

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Young Adult Booklists:: Recommended reading for young adults from librarians in Pittsburgh. Includes lists on mental illness, slam poetry, war stories, African-American authors, and more.

CM Magazine:: Wonderful magazine, very well designed, containing reviews of books, videos, and CD-ROMs. Reviews include pictures. It is possible to order some books online, since the magazine is partially sponsored by a number of different publishers. Good focus on Canadian authors.

Favorite Teenage Angst Books:: Reviews of Catherine's favorite teenage angst books. This site is fun and organized into broad categories that will fit whatever mood your in, angsty or not.

Nancy J. Keane's ATN Book Lists:: If you need to find a book for school, or are just looking for something cool to read, you should look here. This site has nearly 1000 booklists, where you can search by certain themes, school subjects, Newberry Award winners, and much more. If you can’t find what you’re looking for on the list, there’s also a search box to look for the specific book or author you want.

No Flying, No Tights: Graphic Novel Reviews for Teens:: This site was developed to review graphic novels written with teens in mind. The site divides a broad range of genres into easy to identify categories such as fantasy, nonfiction, crime and suspense, realism, romance, horror, and science fiction. If you want to see what's fresh off the presses, check out the New Sensation section. If you have a particular creator, title, or publisher in mind, browse the alphabetical index that crosslists No Flying, No Tights titles with those of its sister site The Lair, which reviews graphic novels for both teens and adults.

Pink Books:: This is a bibliography that lists young adult books with gay and lesbian characters.

Reader's Club: Teen Corner Book Reviews:: This booklist is sponsored by a public library and features really well-organized reviews of books for teens. Look at what's new, or browse by categories like action/adventure, general fiction, graphic novels, historical fiction, horror, humor, classics, non-fiction, romance, sci fi and fantasy, thrillers, etc. Titles that celebrate multiculturalism are also featured.

Mid-Continent Public Library's Juvenile Reading Lists:: Looking for a new series to read? You can search the numerous series listed on this site by author, book title, series title, or series subject.

Teen Reading:: This site sponsored by the American Library Association has a recommended reading list, a teen's top ten and other resources related to teen reading.

TeenLink: Books for the Teen Age:: Visit here to see the list of books the New York Public Library recommended for its teen patrons in the past year. The site also provides access to archived lists from past years.

TeenLink: More Books:: The New York Public Library's Young Adult librarians have created an amazing range of booklists on special topics over the years. This page features the month's current booklist, as well as links to some of their previous lists.

Teenreads.com: Book Clubs and Reading Guides:: This part of the Teenreads website provides information on finding a book club, and, more importantly, starting your own! The site suggests discussion questions for popular books and gives tips on how to run your club meetings so that everyone gets involved and remains excited about what you're reading.

Teenreads.com: The Book Bag:: Teenreads.com provides features and info about teens' favorite books and series, including interviews with authors. The site provides alphabetical lists of authors and book reviews, as well as a monthly newsletter with essay contests, news, and links to interesting sites. Teenreads also has a search feature that lets you search for a book or author in the site, on related websites, or on the Web in general. The suggestions are heavy on the fiction, so if you're looking for a good novel, check this site out.
