Library News: Come join FLS on September 12th at 2:00 PM for Paul Sofian's presentation on the one and only Marilyn Monroe! A raffle will follow the presentation!MCLINC is always looking to provide you, the patron, with an awesome collection of literature in all shapes and sizes! That's why we're proud to tell you that OverDrive, the same company that provides us with Audio Books, is now offering eBooks! Compatible with a whole slew of eBook readers, now you can take dozens of books with you where ever you go! If you don't have an eBook reader, you can pick them up just about anywhere! If you already have an eBook reader, you can check its compatibility here. Library Programs: Evening Book Club: Come and join us on the Fourth Thursday (usually)* of every month at 7:00 PM at the Free Library of Springfield Township. New members are encouraged and welcome. For more information call the Library at 215-836-5300. *Because of things like events, holidays, and upgrades, we are sometimes forced to change the date of meetings. Book to read before the next book club meeting on September 15th.
This Month's Book: Make & Take Craft Workshop: Drop in between 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Fridays for some neat arts and craft projects, specifically aimed at preschoolers (2-6)! *No Make & Take Crafts August 6th - 27th, crafts resume September 3rd.*Story Times:
*No Storytimes August 2nd - 26th, sessions will resume August 30th.* Adult Knit-Night: Join the Library every Wednesday at 6:30 PM for evenings of Knitting, Crocheting, Conversation and Knit-Networking! Mah Jongg (麻将): Come join the Library on Thursdays at 12:30 PM for a rousing game of Mah Jongg. Not familiar with the game? Check it out at Wikipedia. Socrates Café: Socrates Café is a group of individuals who like to talk. They get together and discuss what is on their minds, from something on the news that day to the age old questions of “What is…?" Socrates Café helps you learn how to think, not what to think. Does this sound interesting? Would you like to join a Socrates Café at the Library? The Free Library of Springfield hosts the Café regularly, and encourages you to join every Monday at 7:00 PM.Teens: Tuesday afternoons are still your time. Got ideas? Got free time? Need a snack? Tuesdays 2:00 - 6:00 Triva, Wii, and fun.
