Springfield Township
The Springfield Township Government exists to provide for the health, safety and welfare, quality of life and common good of the Springfield Township Community. The township plans for and responds to opportunities, needs and concerns of its residents.
School District of Springfield Township
The School District of Springfield Township offers opportunities for all types of students with academic, technology, and arts curricula, as well as a wide variety of extracurricular activities and athletics.
Township Code
The "Code" contains all currently effective ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted by the Board of Commissioners of Springfield Township.
Building Code
As a general guide, Springfield Township reviews and approves all new construction and renovation activities in accordance with the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code Act. The framework for the statewide building code is the International Construction Code (ICC). CAUTION: The Township has also adopted several local amendments to the ICC that will not be found in the above link.
Flourtown Fire Company
The Flourtown Fire Company has been serving the community of Springfield Township and the surrounding areas since 1910. Founded on the principles of service, bravery and protecting the community, the Flourtown Fire Company continues to act on these principles today.
Oreland Volunteer Fire Company
The Oreland Volunteer Fire Company was chartered in 1908. The Oreland Volunteers presently serve the residents of Oreland and other sections of Springfield Township. With three "pumper" trucks, Oreland specializes in water supply for fire emergencies.
Wyndmoor Hose Company No. 1
Founded in 1907, Wyndmoor Hose Co. No. 1 is the oldest of the three fire companies in Springfield Township. In addition to handling emergencies in the Wyndmoor section of the township, Wyndmoor volunteers are dispatched to emergency and rescue situations of various types throughout the area.
Springfield Ambulance Association
The Springfield Ambulance Association was incorporated in 1950 and has served the township for the past 54 years as an independent agency. The ambulance association responds to all medical emergencies in Springfield Township.
Springfield Township Historical Society
The Springfield Township Historical Society was organized in 1985 with the purpose of researching and preserving the history of Springfield Township.
Flourtown Country Club
The Flourtown Country Club is a nine-hole golf course, swim club and banquet facility settled on fifty-one acres in the Flourtown section of the township. Golf and swim memberships are available for individuals and families, with Township residents given priority on any waiting lists. Springfield Township residents are also provided a discounted membership rate.
